Over the past year Dance School's have been forced to operate over Zoom. Miss Natasha decided to host a month of Sunday Specials for Nova School of Dance students and open the invitation for other boys and girls to enjoy in on the fun!

EXCITING NEWS – AGES 5-11 THIS IS FOR YOU!
We are all aware of the struggle everyone is facing in these times, and in understanding that our younger students have particularly suffered in missing out on much normality of physical, mental, and social engagement, Miss Natasha is extending an invitation for YOU to attend Sunday Specials, EXCLUSIVE to ages 5-11 years! These will vary in themes such as Musicals, dance styles and various skills each taken by some of the industry's professionals. This is a chance to introduce some new faces and talents in meeting different teaching professionals each week! Now more than ever with a lack of routine, this opportunity is giving students the motivation to get excited about staying active- what could be a better use of time on what would be another Sunday stuck indoors than dancing, socialising and perhaps learning a new skill? And not to forget it offers the bonus of giving parents a well-deserved cup of tea and a small, needed break in peace! Plus, in entertaining and stimulating the kids, we are also supporting some of the industry’s professionals who have been affected by COVID-19s impact on the arts - win, win! Who’s in? Our first Sunday Session – Peppa Pig, Muddy Puddle
Hosted over Zoom by the lovely Melanie, who is currently the choreographer for the U.K. and West End production of Peppa Pig Live!
The Peppa Pig Workshop will include: • A puddle hunt • A live show stream from Muddy Puddles • The opportunity to learn a Muddy Puddles Dance • Peppa dance party - Peppa pig songs, dance games; musical statues, musical colour’s etc
It was lovely to see the little ones socialising, singing and dancing with our Peppa Pig professional, lots of fun was had at this session!
Our next Sunday Special – The Greatest Showman
We welcomed Professional Dancer and Teacher Amy Gallagher for a dance themed workshop, from the hit Musical Film The Greatest Showman. Amy's professional work includes working in Cyprus, touring The Greatest Showman - Her session shall include a warmup using the shows songs, games amongst attendees and the opportunity to learn choreography from the professional tour.
A beloved film by many this session went down a treat, the kids were interactive with our professional and asking Amy plenty of questions as well as looking incredible learning a touring productions choreography!
The following Sunday Special – DESCENDANTS
*Demanded by our students, and Miss Natasha delivered...*
Meet our next performing professional Jaimee Welsh - she has been successfully working within the theatre industry for the last five years! Her many talents include: Ballet, Modern, Tap, Musical Theatre and Ballroom & Latin! Her career has taken her around the world on multiple cruise ships and touring shows whilst working as the role of Dance Caption and Company Manager. Jaimee will be gracing Sunday Specials with an all themed 'DESCENDANTS' session! *It shall include a warmup, games and some 'rotten to the core' choreography!
This proved to be our most popular attending special, and it was so much fun! Jaimee organised a Descendants themed Treasure Hunt which the students battled out to win. We watched a clip of the shows original choreography and learnt a specific dance break to which the students looked amazing performing whilst getting into their evil characters!
Our penultimate Sunday Special – LITTLE MIX DANCE PARTY
Our Professional Dancer of the week Charlotte James shall be taking our sassy Little Mix Dance party! Including some smash hits from the popular girl band Little Mix, students are to expect dynamic choreography, groovin’ games and more…
Charlotte’s work as a professional dancer involves travelling and performing in Greece on various contracts. Her dancing talents include disco freestyle, commercial, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and rock n roll.
This was an awesome session; it was amazing to see the students dancing to a different genre to what they have experienced before. They interacted with our Professional and each other really well, creating a nice party feel with smiles all around! At the end, students performed in groups for each other and truly outdanced themselves.
Our final Sunday Special – Meet Queen Elsa!
Sunday Specials shall be welcoming the one and only Queen Elsa HERSELF, for a mystical session of lessons in how to act like a princess, magical spells, dancing, games and much more! Queen Elsa cannot wait to meet our amazing students and share her magic with us, bring your best singing voices and Frozen costumes as she would love to see them.
This was a cuteness overload - Elsa bought magic, smiles and creativity to our Sunday Specials! Every student felt special and included whilst learning how to act like a princess. This workshop was truly engaging, the children danced, sang, and played games together with Elsa. Our Sunday Specials went out with a bang!
A BIG THANK YOU to those who joined our Sunday Specials! It was lovely to see our students meeting and impressing the industry professionals! They gave nothing but glowing reviews about meeting you all and how fabulous your Zoom dancing was! It makes me all the more excited to see you all in person soon!
